" Built on opposition between two contrasted themes, this small "overture" alternates between lyrical and rhythmic parts. The first theme spreads using dialogs, allowing different voices to find their expression. The second theme, majestic, is sustained by percussions. A mild coda concludes this short romantic moment. " Trois Soeurs describes a portrait of three young sisters, each with its own character. The eldest is sulky, the second is joyful and the youngest is playful. These characters are transmitted musically in different ways. The sulkiness of the eldest is characterized by languishing third, the joy of the second by a waltz in C major and the playful character of the latter by a faster movement. " - Arnaud MEIER |

" Suite Pastiche, built of ten movements is a travel through time, since Antiquity. It redraws brass instruments history and evolution. This music was played by ensemble orchestra from Limoux music school, i.e. by young musiciens, and does not embed major technical difficulties. Everything was treated with humor, sometimes with caricature, thus the title. This movement is the introduction "jingle". " - Gilles ARCENS |
