Bruno PETERSCHMITT

  Bruno PETERSCHMITT

Horn player, Conductor, Bruno Peterschmitt obtained a prize in Paris and a virtuosity prize in Geneva. He is a substitute of Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Orchestre National de France and Opéra de Marseille. He conducts as well the wind bands of CNR de Grenoble, and Harmonie Muroise.

He always had a passion for music writing. He wrote since he is 16-years old numerous arrangements for several formations. Here below are some examples:
Bruno PETERSCHMITT- Wind Band: Berlioz (Marche au Supplice), Beethoven (Fidelio Overture), Dvorak (New World Symphony - Full Score), Mahler (1st Symphony, Adagietto from 5th Symphonie, Songs of a Travelling Journeyman), Moussorgski (Pictures at an Exhibition), Respighi (Pines of Rome - Finale), Schumann (Konzertstück for 4 Horns), Wagner (Rienzi - Overture)
- Symphonic Orchestra: orchestration of unpublished Alma Mahler's Lieder)
- Chamber Orchestra, double Quintet, Harp and Percussion: Moussorgski (Pictures at an Exhibition), Berlioz (Romeo and Juliet)
- Wind Quintet: Bizet (Carmen - Extracts)
- Wind Quintet and Piano: Mozart (Concertos no. 23 and 25), Beethoven (Concertos no. 2 and 4), Grieg
- Brass Quintet: Rossini (Guillaume Tell - Overture)
- Wind Octet: Mozart (Symphony no. 29, Don Giovanni - Overture, Masonic funeral Music)
- Big Wind Ensemble
- Big Brass Ensemble
- Saxophones Ensemble
- Various formations for educational purposes, etc

He started to compose in 2003, encouraged by several people. Here below is a list of Pieces he composed so far:
Bruno PETERSCHMITT- Two symphonic poems: « Flash ! », « Danses Rituelles et Hymne à la Paix »
- One overture: « Ouverture »
- One concerto for 2 Horns : « Duel », recorded by « Ensemble Instrumental de l’Ariège » with, as soloists, Jean-Pierre Cénédèse, Horn player from EPSILON, and Eric Villevière, conducted by Eric Villevière. This Piece is recorded on a CD entitled « Aurigera », available at FLEX Editions.
- One Concertino for Piano and Wind Band
- One Piece for competition for 2 Horns, Brass Quintet and Percussion (commissioned for 2007 Lyon CNSM  prize competition) : Opus Incertum
-  Three Pieces for Junior Wind Band: Sim’rock, First Class, Mikad’o
-  Two Pieces for Brass Ensemble: Ouverture Fanfare, Contrastes
