Jean-Michel MAURY
Clarinettist and graduate from Toulouse conservatoire, Jean-Michel Maury is a music teacher in Carcassonne music school in France. Thanks to its great experience in educational teaching, he is a consultant musician in grade/grammar-shools, day-care centers, in medical institutes and he his a teacher at Toulouse Mirail University (I.F.M.I.). He creates regularly shows with children from grade/grammar-schools, music schools and profetional musicans.
Récréanotes album contains sixteen of his compostitions for Children Voices. It was recorded in 2005 by Ensemble Instrumental de l'Ariège (EIA) and by children from Ariège in France. Récréanotes scores are published exclusively by FLEX Editions and are available here. MP3 audio files with and without chidren's choir are now available for download in FLEX Editions' Sound Library.
Jean-Michel Maury is a very prolific and eclectic composer. He composed for TV (France 3 channel), L’Orchestre, in order to illustrate Jean Anouilh's eponymous play, Estrambotic Cant, for Frontera show. He composed as well for Wind Band (LWA and StoryBoard, recorded by EIA on "l’autre voyage" album, published by Robert Martin, Gédéon Overture and clarinet concerto Hotchpotch, recorded by EIA on Aurigera album, available at FLEX Editions here), for Symphonic Orchestra (Hymne, Morpho, Calidoscopie), and for heterogeneous ensembles (clarinets, saxophones, brass, etc.).
