Collection Director Foreword
" With this famous spanish "Legend", the piano sound must be as close as possible to guitar. The right hand will be, for the repeated notes, slightly suspended above the left hand, and right in the middle of the black keys. From C to F, then from Q to T, the chords attack on the first beat requires a hand shift that will relax the almost metronomic regularity since the beginning. At G letter, the unison part must involve an improvisation spirit and can not be played "to the letter": there are two instruments that answer each other (unisons/chords), creating an atmosphere that is both dreamy and sensual, contrasting with the energy in the first part. In this piece, a special care must to taken to put into relief the character and colors of Spain. " - Nicolas CARDONA
