A poignant Piece with moving solos. The title evokes solitude, self-confrontation as well as hope, knowledge and trust search. Orient is symbolically the source of light which illuminates us, guides us and sometimes holds us onto life. You must listen to it!

" In this musical suite, you will find eight short pieces depicting one day in a Zoo. You will discover emblematic animals such as monkeys, lions or elephants. The orchestration with four parts and percussions will allow you to play those pieces with all kind of musical groups, each part being provided in several transposition tonalities. Except « Le Début… » that should be played at the start, and « … Et la FIN » at the end, I let the Conductor free to define the order in which to play the central Pieces: « L’Heure de Pointe » (The rush hour), « Un Moment Presque Tranquille » (An almost quiet moment), and « Le Voyage en Train » (The train trip). " - Gilles ARCENS
